Aggies First Spotlight: September

The Old Army Gentlemen’s Society would like to honor member Jason Sandoval with the September Aggies First spotlight. The Aggies First spotlight is a monthly award given to members of OL’ AGS who truly embodies our motto of “Aggies First, Gentlemen Always” through service to Texas A&M.

Jason served as last year's director for Aggie Replant. Aggie Replant Day is one of the nation's the largest, one-day, student-led environmental service projects in the nation. The event strives to improve the Bryan/College Station community, bring students together through tradition, and provide an avenue for environmental service and action through a yearly tree planting event. In 2013, Aggie Replant began their annual service project where the students travel to Bastrop State Park to help replant trees to replace the ones that were lost during the wildfire of 2011. The organization became the first student led organization to offer their service to the Lost Pines Recovery campaign.

Jason has also served as a counselor for Fish Camp, as well as a member of his Freshmen Leadership Organization, Freshmen Leaders in Christ (FLiC). Jason is also in the Professional Program in Accounting, where he will receive his bachelor's degree in Accounting, and his Master's degree in entrepreneurial leadership and taxation.

We are very proud of all that members like Jason have accomplished and their leadership at Texas A&M! Congratulations Jason!
