Aggies First Spotlight: August 2018

With FLO recruitment kicking off yesterday, the Old Army Gentlemen’s Society would like to honor members Davis Dzierzanowski and Fili Banda with the August Aggies First spotlight. The Aggies First spotlight is a monthly award given to members of OL’ AGS who truly embodies our motto of “Aggies First, Gentlemen Always” through service to Texas A&M. Both men are the directors of their respective FLOs, or Freshmen Leadership Organizations. At Texas A&M, these organizations help build leaders from the freshmen class who are often exposed to leadership responsibilities early on in their tenure by organizing social/service events, raising money for their respective philanthropies, or even offering other professional opportunities. Davis serves as the head director for Freshmen Leaders in Progress (FLiP) and Fili serves as the financial director of Freshmen Aggies Spreading Tradition (FAST). Outside of their FLO involvement, both men have been involved in organizations like Fish Camp, COSGA, and the WWE Fan Club while also maintaining their academics in the business school.   We are very proud of all that our members like these men have accomplished and their leadership at Texas A&M! Congratulations Davis and Fili!

Aggies First Spotlight: January

The Old Army Gentlemen's Society would like to honor member Isaiah Hall with the January Aggies First spotlight. The Aggies First spotlight is a monthly award given to a member of OL' AGS who truly embodies our motto of "Aggies First, Gentlemen Always" through service to Texas A&M. Isaiah is currently a member of the Corps of Cadets Triathlon team. This team is a separate entity than the University's club and varsity team, however they still travel and represent our university at competitions all around. The team requires its athletes to practice early in the morning, and focuses on the three areas of: swimming, biking, and running. Isaiah started training as a triathlete the summer after his high school graduation and was able to join the Corps of Cadets team during his second semester his freshmen year. He has traveled to several competitions including Shadow Creek Tri in Katy, TX and Bevoman Tri in Austin, TX. We are proud of how members like Isaiah are representing our University in competitions like these. During his time at A&M, Isaiah has also served as a member of FLED, a member of the College of Education and Human Development Undergraduate Student Council, and a member of company L-1 in the Corps of Cadets. He is pursuing his undergraduate degree in kinesiology.   We are very proud of all that members like Isaiah have accomplished and their leadership at Texas A&M! Congratulations Isaiah!
