Celebrating the Life of George H.W. Bush

Celebrating the Life of George H. W. Bush

This week we celebrate the momentous, honorable, and significant life of President George H. W. Bush. To say he was a patriot would be an understatement and we are thankful for all he did for this country and the impact he later had on our beloved university. Though President Bush was not a graduate of Texas A&M, he embodied our motto of “Aggies First, Gentlemen Always.” President Bush carried himself in the most dignified way, being a gentleman to every person he came across and showing enormous love and devotion for his adopted university. Today we look back on a time he came across a group of Ol’ AGS on a game day morning in 2001 and the remarkable life he lived. Thank you 41. Here

Aggies First Spotlight: August 2018

With FLO recruitment kicking off yesterday, the Old Army Gentlemen’s Society would like to honor members Davis Dzierzanowski and Fili Banda with the August Aggies First spotlight. The Aggies First spotlight is a monthly award given to members of OL’ AGS who truly embodies our motto of “Aggies First, Gentlemen Always” through service to Texas A&M. Both men are the directors of their respective FLOs, or Freshmen Leadership Organizations. At Texas A&M, these organizations help build leaders from the freshmen class who are often exposed to leadership responsibilities early on in their tenure by organizing social/service events, raising money for their respective philanthropies, or even offering other professional opportunities. Davis serves as the head director for Freshmen Leaders in Progress (FLiP) and Fili serves as the financial director of Freshmen Aggies Spreading Tradition (FAST). Outside of their FLO involvement, both men have been involved in organizations like Fish Camp, COSGA, and the WWE Fan Club while also maintaining their academics in the business school.   We are very proud of all that our members like these men have accomplished and their leadership at Texas A&M! Congratulations Davis and Fili!
